Session 65: Nirvana – Nevermind, Sunday 28 November

It’s not often that a band comes along and creates the defining album of a generation, but after their distinctly rough-edged debut, this conscious decision to go big on melody, production and songwriting would cement Nirvana and Nevermind in the hearts of teenagers the world over.

Nirvana may not have been the originators of grunge, but here they created an album that encapsulated the sound so perfectly that it would cast an inescapable shadow on everything that came after. Hosted by: Jason Graham

As usual we’ll follow the album with our usual 7″ session. Bring along a single of your choice to spin after the main session. This can be anything you like, for any reason – the more out there the better.

It’s about meeting fellow music lovers, talking about the great records of the past and predicting upcoming future classics. The bar’s open throughout, but there will be NO CHILLI AVAILABLE.

£3 Admission. Doors open 12pm, session starts at 12.30pm
