Scott Walker: Tilt

From 60s idol to 00s uncompromising auteur, you can almost imagine Scott Walker being trailblazer for people like David Bowie or David Sylvian. With a bleak outlook and brooding tone, Tilt was yet another major step towards the challenging, oppresive and intense Walker of modern times.

As with his later albums, Tilt worries and nags at those dark parts of the human psyche, melding obscure literary references with diverse musical contributors to produce an utterly distinctive sound.
