With Q & A session by special guest John “Twink” Alder.
The definitive (arguably only) album by Pink Floyd v1, this is the musical monument which casts a long Syd-shaped shadow over the Floyd’s career.
As immediate now as on it’s release 50(!) years ago, Piper still sounds utterly unique, a skewed encapsulation of the 60s psychedelic scene, and a strong counterpoint to the highly polished album being recorded at Abbey Road at the same time – Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Appropriately liquid lighting befitting the album will play in the background, and we’re very pleased to confirm the appearance of John “Twink” Alder, ex-drummer for Tomorrow, The Pink Fairies and collaborator with Syd Barrett in his last band Stars, who’ll being doing a brief Q & A session after the album.
